On October 31 to November 2, 2024, the XII All-Russian Congress of the Mari People is taking place in Yoshkar-Ola. This event is held every four years. More than 400 delegates from all over Russia represent the interests of the Mari people who live in 20 regions of the country.
The main purpose of the congress is to preserve the unique Mari culture and native language. This year, the work of the congress is dedicated to the Year of the Family. The forum will feature five sections: "Family and Traditions", "Family and Culture", "Family and Education", "Family and Healthcare", "Family, Science, digitalization".
