The year of travel continues.

Today we would like to tell you about one of the most unusual and attractive tourist attractions in Yoshkar-Ola.

The 12 Apostles Clock is a unique architectural complex with a clock, which has become one of the main attractions of the city.

The sculptural composition repeats the famous gospel story. The Teacher Jesus Christ is in front on a donkey, followed by his disciples: the Apostles Peter, Andrew the First-Called, John the Theologian, Yakov Zavadeev, Matthew the Evangelist, Thomas the Unbeliever, Philip of Versailles, Bartholomew, James Alphaeus, Thaddeus, Simon the Canaanite. Judas Iscariot follows last, carrying a bag with thirty pieces of silver in his hands. That is how much, according to the biblical story, he received for betraying Jesus.
The figures of the apostles are made almost in full size, each of them is made of bronze and has a size of about one and a half meters and a weight of about 200 kilograms.

The sculptures start moving every three hours: in 9:00, 12:00, 15:00 and at 18:00, under the chant "May all human flesh be silent," where they walk along the balcony, waving palm branches in the air, and disappear from sight.

To visit this amazing composition, we invite you to stay at our AMAKS City Hotel in Yoshkar-Ola! Enjoy your travels.
